This Green Banarasi Saree is woven in katan silk and set with Minakari motifs over a soft mint green base, with small gold-toned motifs scattered across the body. The colour looks lighter in the open drape and deeper in the folds, so it shifts a little as you move.
The border and pallu carry a band of floral jaal in red, orange, yellow and green on a warm zari ground, edged with a deep pink strip. That pink contrast gives the pallu its strong finish when you settle it over your shoulder.
Wear it for weddings, festive pujas or family celebrations, with gold jewellery to bring out the zari in the border.
